Ready to set yourself free?

Can you imagine a space where you can lift your head, pause the noise and the stress, and put the obligations on the back burner – just long enough for you to wake up to what you truly desire. I want you to feel that for a moment. Isn’t it a fabulous feeling?

Now, imagine for a moment that you can frame this feeling to repeat it again and again, whenever you need to bolster your self-confidence and gain momentum to move forward. This is your day!

If you could remove all of these distractions, what do you think you might be able to do?

  • Focus on you for a change
  • Remove the mask and show the real you
  • Experience joy at another level in your life

What’s the key? 

It’s actually quite simple – it’s turning the Forbidden Conversations topic inward. 

It’s learning to have those conversations with yourself that you ignore, hoping that things will change.

It’s mustering up the courage and conviction to know that unless you deal with your issues first, you cannot thrive.

So, how do you do that?

You have to get painfully honest and raw with yourself. You have to stop burying your feelings and sit with them, even when it’s uncomfortable.

And finally, you have to determine what Forbidden Conversations need to happen to unlock your future. These are the conversations that are holding you back – the ones that keep you stuck.

For me, it was the Forbidden Conversation that started like this:

What a loaded question, but let me break it down for you.

I had this recurring feeling that I was at the edge of a cliff whenever I felt I was going to try something new and scary – something that might expose me, but at the same time could break everything open. It was unrelenting. It haunted me for years. I still have bouts of this feeling from time to time.

I have learned to recognize that it is my response immediately before something that will open up avenues for greater personal growth for me. I’ve learned to sit with the discomfort, the doubt, the second-guessing, but also to move through it.

It has meant EVERYTHING to me in terms of helping me tackle the next scary thing that has great rewards for me.

I want you to have that same feeling, that same confidence, that same experience.

What was the revelation that finally broke everything open? This is the kind of revelation that caused me to sit up in bed in the middle of the night. Here is what I can tell you….

Acknowledge the stories you tell yourself and realize the power they have over you.

I want you to sit with that a moment. This is the most powerful aha moment I could have had and I want you to experience the same.

It’s not about what “others do to you”; it’s not about your obligations, it’s all about not being able to make time for what was important.

It is all about your choices. What you choose to believe about yourself and what you think you are capable of.

And guess what? This turns out to be what you are most afraid of!

When this happened to me, I realized I was afraid of my own power and I had never figured that out before.

Your Forbidden Conversation is the one you need to have with yourself the most – the one that will help you unleash your power within and your potential to do greater things and make a bigger difference.

What causes some people to make a small ripple in the water and another to have one that just continues and continues?

What causes some people to hit a simple note and others to break a glass?

The difference comes from inside them. It comes from their core, their being, Their essence and the difference they want to make.

What if I told you that the success you desire is within the things that scare you the most? I know that sounds shocking.

If I would have challenged the stories I told myself head on, I would not have played the victim, made my issues about everyone else instead of taking full responsibility for my own stories.

It gets comfortable to complain and accept things. It’s convenient!

So, how do you begin?  You can start by asking yourself these Courageous Questions – hoping to unlock the Forbidden Conversation you need to have with yourself:


  • What have you always wanted to do?
  • When do you feel like you are in the “zone”?
  • What type of things make you feel fulfilled?
  • What excuses are you making for status quo?
  • How much is your inaction costing you?
  • What are you waiting for?
  • How do you want to feel?
  • What forbidden conversations have you identified to help clear the way for you?

How do you clear the way so you can move forward in an inspired way?


  • Make a list of choices that reflect the real you
  • Don’t worry if they are hard or easy
  • Make no judgement about others’ feelings
  • Decide you will make the time
  • Explore the stories you are telling yourself
  • Commit to a new experience
  • Let go of self-judgement

What will be important for you is to seek the type of change that will make you FEEL balanced – emotionally, spiritually, intellectually.

What if you could achieve alignment in those areas?  I would venture to guess you would start to feel more balanced in your life, don’t you think?

Some of our struggles come from that tension between what we want and where we are. When we achieve the alignment we need, the energy that was previously used for that tension is freed up to be used more constructively.
